not bad for natural light shots though I think DOF at f2.8 is too narrow in #1

Thanks Toby and Joan,, I agree with you Toby,, shallow DOF but kinda liked the green against the blue/purple eyes in #1

Was the wind blowing, By the way wings are positioned for the typical dragon fly it looks like that he was straining in keeping the wings still.

Nice closeups, nice to see such detail and color.

yes actually the wind was blowing pretty well,, a storm was coming in,, hence the somewhat shallow depth of field and use of shutter priority,, thanks for commenting elgillet ;)

Nice colours and lighting.

Pity about the angle he was sat on that twig. It does detract from the picrure a bit, particularly in #2.
