welcome to the forum. Have a look around and post up some action shots, we all like to see them ;). I know that there is at least one other firefighter here and he has posted some great shots...but his user id escapes me at the moment.

Mark, when you run into the inevitable rude person, just realize that the majority of us are not that way.

Welcome to the forum! It's a great place to learn and sharpen your skills!

Hey Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I have done some basic photography in the past with film and after using the 40D for a couple of days so far I'm hooked...lol
My first location shoot will be at the Grand Canyon next month we are going to Az.
to visit my mom so a day trip up there will be on the agenda.
I will post some pics when I get back for sure.

Mark

Welcome and enjoy!

If you have any trouble figuring out the settings and such the single most popular advice you wil get is to ge the book by Brian Petersen called Understanding Exposure!

There, I beat everyone to the one piece of advice ALL people on here get at one point or another....LOL

WELCOME! This is by far the friendliest, nicest place on the web! The games alone are addicting! LOL!

Cindy-wife to Chris, Mom to 7! Gramma/Nana/Grammy to 6 lovelies! Canon 70D owner...trying hard to learn to use it.
