I purchased my 7MDH this past weekend. I absolutely adore it, very roomy!

If I had only one gripe with it, it would have to be with the velcro itself, it's very poor quality stuff. When I went to adjust their placement, I would sometimes have some of the velcro ends tear off from the pad and leave sightly stuble on the fabric pads. It became somewhat of an annoyance to me.

For that reason, I use some of the dividers that came with my Slingshot 100AW inplace of the shoddy Crumpler ones. I don't know, maybe it's just me personally, but if I'm expected to pay xxx for a bag, I would expect a reasonably quality product. But that's just me.

I think another thing that the bag sould use are some base-pegs on the bottom, you know, to keep the bag elevated & away from undesirable conditions. Or some other sort of weather shielding/protection. I guess that's what the brazillion is for, but the 200% price jump is not appealing just for a bit of nylon!

^ the onyl gripe i have with the MDH bags is that it doesn't have a zipper to enclose your gear.

^ Do you like the Nova series? I had a classic Lowepro EX140 (same basic design as the nova)for my film stuff, I didn't like it that much. My mom uses it now for her S3IS, until I give her the 2MDH for christmas.

Should have bought my bundle. Perfect for the S3. I still have one for my S3. I like the Nova series. The 3 is amazing actually. Holds everything in my sig. The 5 is huge! Idk why somoene would go for the Stealths when the Nova's are cheaper and roughly the same size.

^ I would have bought your bundle, but I am giving her the 2MDH that I got for $8.50 at circuit city. Plus she likes to be able to put a few other things in with the camera when she is traveling.

I glad you like the new bags, I don't think that I will ever part with my crumpler now. :) I am just going to turn into you, and start buying a ton of them LOL.

Oh right, I forgot you had a Circuit City with decent selection of Crumplers. I still love the small bags, like the bundle for my S3 and Thirsty Als for MP3 and what not. I needed the AW cover since when I go out with my equipment, if it rains, well, when it rains, I don't want to be in a downpour with my stuff. Crumpler nylon holds up well to a drizzle and light rain till you find shelter. But in Fla, it'll be like buckets being dumped on you in a split of a second and pulling out the AW cover will be nice.

I am keeping my Dreadful Embarrassment and buying some inserts for it so I have a laptop/camera bag and it'll still me my school bag when I officially go back to school and attend class in class and not online. I love their messengers and might get a smaller one for more everyday use. And no, not like a murse, It's a miefcase...instead of a breifcase. haha

I have a 5MDH now too, it is great! I use it when I just want to carry the camera and flash. It is the perfect size for everyday walking around.

Yeah, sold mine. I kinda miss it, being smaller than the Nova 3 and all. I might convert back, especially since I made my new bag.

So if I wanted to carry a 40D + 17-55 + maybe a 530EX II would the 4MDH work or do I need to step up to 5? Seems like a 4MDH would be perfect for just the 40D + 17-55 ya? Typically that's all I carry.

The only thing I'll add to this thread is, I owned a couple different backpacks/slings/bags and there was always something, a little or a bit thing that I did not like about them. I got the CRUMPLE THE DAILY XXL (750) and there is not a thing on it that bothers me. I simple think that this is an ultimate bag for me. The one thing I want to point out is that the inside camera compartment is detachable so when you take it out you can use the bag as a regular messenger bag... CLICK HERE (photo 13 & 14).

YEs, but not available in the US which sucks, and it's still rather large. Nice though. I still have my 7MDH and I would have gotten that instead.

I have a question:

Kit:
XTi + 18-55
Canom 75-300 USM IS
Canon 50 1.8
Sigma 10-20
Speedlite 430ex

I'm between 6mdh and 7mdh...

I would like to have an extra space for any crap I want to take with me, it could be my S3 IS).

Do you think the 6mdh will take all of this or I definitely I have to get the 7mdh?

Thanks in advanceeee! :)
