hello all i was wondering if this focus is ok or if it is off...if its wrong id be quit upset seeing as how i just got the camara 2 days ago :(

It's not perfect, but then it might be different with another lens. Pretty close...

FWIW, that picture wasnt taken anywhere near the 45° angle he asks you to use.

Not really.
45 degrees is ½ of 90 degrees, which is very easy to judge.
Anything that is approximatly a half of the right angle will do the job.


What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

If your tripod head doesn't have the tilt angle marked, to get 45 degrees, just try and make the vertical distance from lens to floor equal to the horizontal distance from tripod to target center.

The difference is negligible and could easily be human error. I would say it is fine.

I agree, that does not look like 45 degrees and that does make a difference, not be exact, but yours looks nothing like 45
