It just was not catching it. I was using a 50mm f/1.8 as well....however, there are a ton of settings eluding to the autofocus....scary. I'm trying it on a night football game this friday. That will be the real test. I'm taking my trusty XT as my backup though...something about the autofocusing does feel funny... Denise

I'll post my daughter running later... Right now, she found wet chalk and is painting herself a storm, including herself...... Denise

I'm very happy with the 40D AF, much better than my 30D in the same roller rink. 80% keepers versus 20% with 30D    USe the "all sizes" or "different sizes" option to see larger version from within the set: http://www.flickr.com …o/sets/72157602147887463/ These were all shot by the way with the 24-70 F2.8L which is not know for being a sports lens, but works as well if not better than my 85 1.8 on the 40D. Thats one of 400 shots I was happy with out of a 1700 shot day of abseiling. I would say I only rejected 10% due to focal point, the rest simply not being the style I wanted! The above picture was of a guy Parafanning - a simulated parachute jump, and he was moving fast under me! Canon 40D [Gripped]
