Good shots LM - I think that convinces me that the 40D can be a backup to a Mark II... 40D order in the future for sure.

It just was not catching it. I was using a 50mm f/1.8 as well....however, there are a ton of settings eluding to the autofocus....scary. I'm trying it on a night football game this friday. That will be the real test. I'm taking my trusty XT as my backup though...something about the autofocusing does feel funny... ![]() Another note too....shooting in AI Servo and selecting the extended ISO to get iso3200....it was not holding it for some reason. At least when I went through the metadata in my images, none read 3200....and I took quite a few on this setting just to test it out....weird.... Denise

While reading today I have come across some reviews that say the Autofocus on the 40D is worse than the 30D!!! Please post some action shots to put me back in a good mood and to regain faith in the camera ![]() I played with both....40d AF is a lot better then the 30d. My Equipment | Facebook Fan Page

Sep 28, 2007 01:09 | #28 Just came back from a football game. I had more keepers with the 40D than I ever did with the original 1D. I love this camera. It was amazing using the 300 2.8 + 1.4xtc and zooming in 10x on live view at people in the stands!!
