John_B I have the 30D and two Canon film bodies. I've always been a Canon owner, but having looked at the 40D I'm just not impressed. I'm waiting to see what Canon does with the 5D upgrade. I'm either going to pick one of them up or look for a used 1ds Mark II.

Guess I need to make myself a signature line :)

I had a chance to use and take a couple grab shots with the 40d last weekend.
Yeah its a Canon eos foundation.
Yes it takes good pics....so does/do any of the canon models to pretty much!!
I also had more than enough cash to buy it but thats enough spent on picture generating products for now.

You know one could argue that Canon dropped the ball when the 30D was supposed to be the 20D replacement. 20D owners didn't seem all that much impressed with that "upgrade" either. ;)
