Hi. I have been reading this forum for a month or so now and have plucked up the courage to post my first pictures.

They were taken Zoo de Bauval in France.

I love the grumpy look on the birds face in the first and the colours on them both. I cut the foot off the second one, which was careless, but we live and learn.

Your feedback is welcome.

Thanks for the welcome & comment. I tried to make them larger but the uploader knocked them back saying that they exceeded the size limit. If I can get round that I will enlarge them and repost.

Welcome to the birdie forum, and what a way to start. What a beautiful bird and no reason to be grumpy with those looks. :)

Nice looking bird and really crisp captures. What kind of bird is it?

Nice shots.. they look great but, as mentioned, a little small.

I went through this too and found the best way to post is to use something like Photobucket.com (that's what I use). It has an 800 x 600 (if not exact then close to it)reduction selection. That works pretty well and doesn't limit you to a small 100K file that this site limits you to. You simply cut and paste the IMG tag from Photobucket to your post.

I agree that it looks like a Lamprotornis Superbus (I googled the name and the images seem very similar). I will try and use the photobucket upload as suggested later and get bigger pics up.
