I need some advice on a purchase I plan on making at B&H next weekend on a visit to NYC.
I am in need of some lighting equipment for my work. I need some input on what you would get if you were in my shoes with $930. I shoot weddings and fashion primarily, both outdoor and indoor, consider portability. The setup would go along with a 30D and 580ex and an assortment of lenses. I look to eventually build a complete studio as well...so expandability of the setup.
I would also prefer to get an offshoe cable as well for the current flash, unless there is a better idea. Also, both one or two additional lights are an option(dedicated flash or studio lights), since I already have one. Don't forget I need diffusers. reflectors, stands etc etc.
My direction was to get two more Canon lights with Wescott umbrellas on Bogen stands with optical slaves (in case i have a hard time triggering the slaves, I light manual anyways) but im really torn on that idea atm, there are too many options.
