Dear friends,
mostly because of the weather resistance feature, I am starting to look for a 1D Mk II used body (used since my budget is limited to 1500, max 2000 bucks).
Can anyone tell me the difference with the N version ?

Are there special things I should look for on top of the obvious ones such as shutter acts, visible damages etc.

Reputable sources of used equipment (in Europe would be better) ?

Thank you very much. Bob

Not much difference between the two. Larger LCD, and some extra custom settings. Other than that, not much that should matter, especially for your budget.

Since you can actually check the actual shutter count on 1D bodies, I'd actually check for that in addition to any cosmetic issues.

Thank you ... if I am not mistaken the CMOS sensor and DIGIC processor are the same of my 20D, so IQ, sensitivuty and noise should be the same.

Other than the physical superiority (sealed, sturdiness hnece weight, etc.) what are the biggest advantages I could expect ?

AF seems to have a lot of more sensor points. Will that mean AF accuracy should be higher ?

Exposure: other than the existance of spot meterings, any other big advantages ?

Thank you
Bob

Same DIGIC yes, but the sensor itself is bigger. 1.25x crop instead of 1.6x.

High speed. Larger and brighter viewfinder because of the larger sensor. Better image quality (in my opinion) because the pixels are not so densely packed although the 20D is already a star performer.

Definitely it is. There's a second CPU in the camera devoted entirely to auto-focus.
