Congrats on the new gear! I just bought mine, and am in the car on the way home. I bought the first one from the local store that wasn't preordered, so the first one the salesman held in his hand!

Congratulations:D
I think you will be very happy with it. I started with a Rebel, then 20D and then 5D. I got the 40D as a backup camera and I'm impressed with it so far. It's headed to Africa with me on Saturday and I may end up using it more than the 5D for the extra reach.

People still buying the 40D by the truck loads :)


Photographic Images on Brett Butler (external link) px500 (external link) & Flickr (external link) Some Canon Bodies , few blackish lenses, A dam heavy black one, couple dirty white ones, a 3 legged walking stick, a mono walking stick, and a bag full of rubbish :oops:
