Wouldn't you prefer a Panasonic with a hot shoe? Hi Toby, I was looking at the FZ50 but will wait and see what it's replacement is. I bought the FZ8 as a handy walk around camera when out with the family and I didn't want to lug all the gear around with me but, the leica glass is just stunning IMO. I have had a few funny looks when out with the camera and bog roll diffuser attached Alby

racketman Cream of the Crop More info | Sep 27, 2007 18:07 | #12 FZ50 has the hot shoe but looking at macros taken with it I would say your FZ8 has less noise. I think the ideal would be the FZ50 with just 8MP or a larger sensor. Unfortunately to appeal to the mass market theFZ60 will probably go up to 12MP. Toby

Or do you move to Florida LOL!! I know I have felt kind of left out these sites during our winter which has just passed, now at least I can post some pics again and not just comment. Joan Young
