Ok, so I did something a little silly, and let my remote dangle in some water.
It shorted out the switch, and fired off about 10 frames before I shock the water out of it.
It then worked reasonably well for the rest of the night, but towards the end I noticed it was staying locked in the half shutter press.
Assuming it was just some water caught in the switch, I pulled it apart and cleaned it all with some canned air.
Now all the electronics work, but I have one small, and again, silly problem.
There is a spring that holds the button up, and I have no idea where to put it when I reassemble the remote!
If anyone can help, prehaps a picture of were it sits, it might save me a bit of frustration
