I was always taught that if circumstances allowed then a tripod should be used. It would ensure sharper images and everyone would be happy. Then I find this last night.

I have seen a few disparaging comments about KR but was wondering how often you use a tripod and what what you think of Ken's thoughts.

Oh yes, he is an expert on everything; particulary nonsense.

He says, "Tripods are no longer required, and actually often degrade sharpness , because shutter speeds have climbed and IS/VR lenses reduced the need for slower speeds.

One of my favourite songs I play on the piano is "Send In The Clowns". The last line of the lyrics goes, "Dont' bother, they're here".

How apropos.

When did voluptuous become voluminous?

I always use a tripod when I'm doing landscapes. KR is a but head. =)
