Hey all
I figured this was the right section to post in as the bike is transportation.
I did a photo shoot back in January for a friend of mine who built this bike called the midnight Express,
Well my Photos have just been published in Octobers edition of Hot Bike magazine.

I apologize for the scan quality but here are the Pictures.

Great! They look good. And the 1st one is too big: IMAGE POSTING RULES only allow pics 800 pixels or smaller. You can always post a link to them, though.

Thanks for the kind words guys

Thanks Rockabilly
Greatly appreciate the kind words

PhotosGuy
yeah I have compared the originals to the Magazine article and they don't look as good as the originals, Probably something to do with the Color management, I have everything set to Adobe 1998, I don't know what they used for the final print and I don't know what my POS HP 950 PSC scanner is doing.
I'll look through all 466 pics and figure out exactly which ones they used for the mag and I'll post them at a better size.
My wife scanned in the images of the magazine article and used PSE 2.0 to photomerge them together, I'll redo them with CS3 later tonight.
Thanks for the kind words.

Yeah it does feel pretty good but not as good as the feeling Steve Carr is getting from all the phone calls etc due to the magazine article, the photography is just hindsight in this case, the people who read the magazine aren't wondering what Aperture or Shutter Speed was used, but for me it still feels good knowing that I have helped this guy get recognition for his hard work in assembling the machine.
I Spoke with Steve last night and he is ecstatic about the pics and as we speak is in the process of assembling another bike, for another Photoshoot in the very near future.
I can't wait.;)

Another photoshoot in the near future; I'm jealous!

Tom
Thanks for the compliment.
Yeah I am partial to the Bridge shots myself, I shot these at a well known local landmark to try and boost interest for the bike builder, you know to show this is the area of the US that he lives.
You know if someone shot the bike with the Golden gate bridge then you would automatically assume ah ok so this builder must live somewhere near San Fransisco.
Anyway I guess the editors decided to clone it out for the double page spread, also to remove it as it could distract from the bike and also it could be viewed as a homeland security concern.

Congrats Allen, Hopefully these will be the first of many!
Getting published for a photographer is just like a musician hearing their song on the radio for the first time.

Just another shutterbug.
