Here are few more shots.

#1. Worked several hours on this but feel the need to readdress some painting on her face (original is quite flat in tonality - I draw highlights and shadows in such cases). I will post another version but wanted to hear your feedback on the direction I'm going.

#4. Not sure about this one... How do you like the effect?

#5. Don't suggest bringing the heads back. :) I cropped them out intentionally to make the shot about the grandmother, who was quite a character...

#5. Added a hint of red, thought it would enhance the mood:

Hmm... Not much feedback on the additional photos. Do they not stir any reaction from wedding photographers?

Anyway, here's the finished version of one of those, as intended. The face is better polished and its features are more accurately defined (painted):

Did you use a flash in 1 & 7 on the OP? If so, what modifier?

#1 - No flash - diffused light from open sky (limo's open door and the sunroof).
#7 - Yes, flash with the Lightsphere, bounced from the ceiling.

first batch: 4 and 6 are my favs due to the PP. Nice images all around.

second batch:
-1 is a great shot. It's still a little too dark for my taste, but the shot's still great regardless.
-2 is nice although the skintones are slightly zombie-like.
-3 is a really nice shot. like your b&w conversion.
-5 is a cool shot, nice framing, but granny looks seriously un-dead. One key element in wedding photography is correctly showing skin-tones; people should have healthy skin-tones. And granny would rather see a photo of her that doesn't make her look a week past her expiration date.
-Your subject's skin-tones in 6 look nice, and it's a fun shot.

good stuff overall.

I didn't know you posted more. Maybe you should start a new thread. I like what you have done. Very artistic. Grandma looks a little ghostly. The heads cut off do bother some what. The story helps.

Do you not even color correct the ones you give your client on cd?

This particular wedding was purchased as images straight from the camera, no PP-ing, so all editing is at my discretion (got a release for this) and I do them for my portfolio. This may explain the granny - I agree with her family's possible thoughts on discolorization. To me, that image is obviously desaturated so pale skin is expected.

Of course, if I were to present this to a client, it would be as an alternative to otherwise normally processed file. My workflow was described here, if there's interest (in the middle of the page): https://photography-on-the.net …hread.php?t=387230&page=2. It shows how I I handle PP-ing of the entire collection.

At present, I am not targeting a large clientèle. I am known for an artistic approach and trying to see if it can be applied to my weddings. So far, I find enough clients to manage. All this may get adjusted in the future.

I really like the pp of #5 - #2 is really nice but I think it would be better if it was a bit warmer - I'm not feeling the green tones. I like the soft dreamy look though :)

Nice stuff ed!!

1 is very clean and clear, though both their expressions aren't the greatest... not that you had control over that.

2 is kinda glowy/motion blurred. Works for this kind of photo I guess.

3 whoa.. looks like he's in the middle of a back hook kicking the bride or something. haha, I know he's just falling. I'm sure he'll love you for capturing that so well! LOL great to be quick on the trigger to catch it!

4 looks oversharpened or something?

5 is a nice shot

6 is kinda odd. You are using a low angle but it is a portrait that really only contains the people in the photo, so the low angle doesn't really benefit you at all. If you are trying to get a huge tree in there too then I'd understand. Otherwise, a higher angle would be more flattering.

7 is just fun. haha. nice.

some nice work here. Thanks for sharing Ed!!

Thank you Lloyd.

In #1, the girls expression was at loose, of course, but I like the one of bride. It's thoughtful and positioned well against the girl's, possibly.

#2 could certainly be done better.

#4 - just not your regular PP-ing... And yes, compression for web didn't do me well here.

#6 - respectfully disagree. Higher viewpoint will never flatter people of shorter physiques. I tried that viewpoint - mediocre. Another reason for my choice was to accentuate the details of her dress.
