40D Tungsten issues.

I still think the 5D is more accurate but only by a hair. However all photos were taken at 40mm and on the 5D that includes more of the wall in the photo then 40mm on the 40D (40mm on 40D is like 64mm). This might also be the reason for the 40D being a bit darker, because same f/stop and shutter were used on all photos.
After all it was just a quick test ;)

What I meant was: the AWB and the tungsten colors are distinctly different for both the 5D and the 40D.

Which mode is closest to the real color of the wall?

As you'd expect, I guess. If you're still testing, how about trying 2800K as liquefied suggested?

How does CWB compare with tungsten?

Enquiring minds want to know!

So, it turns out, i only get the green/yellow hue when i'm in the Adobe RGB colour space.

sRGB gives me the same result my XT gives me in Adobe RGB


Switched to the "dark side" but I like these boards.
Digital: Nikon D200
Lenses: Nikkor 50 1.8D, Nikkor-P 55 macro 3.5, Nikkor 35 1.8G Nikkor 85 1.8.
Film: Canonet QL17 G-III, Bell&Howel/Canon Dial 35,
