I think it is a piece of string (blew it up on the PC a bit cause I first thought it was grass).

He was close to the rails at the back of the boat.

Lovely gulls.......you did fabulous on the whites.they are hard.I did some today as well.saw a poor fellow with some line or string in his mouth,I tried to catch him, but thats impossible. I feel for the birds that get caught in the garbage that people leave behind.:evil:
