Hes a Boy, btw, but your not the first (nor the last I suspect) to make that mistake. I tend to leave room to crop it down to an 8x10, hence the extra space on #'s 2 and 3
I kinda like #3 because it shows a little more of attitude, a little more of a representation of the child then a 'perfect portrait' I have others where he has more of a smile, but I just like this one for my own reasons.
Thanks for the kind words

Ooops. Sorry. He's got beautiful features, made me lean towards a girl altho he did look somewhat boyish in #3, the other two tho had me think girl for whatever reason. LOL Don't worry, I've had people comment that my youngest looks like a girl (the long hair I'd guess), he can be dressed all in blue and people still say "what a pretty girl". LOL
I see what you mean, I tend to do that too altho I've started to tilt down a bit more to include more of the body instead of empty space overhead, that way it still looks ok as a 4x6's as well, my family is nuts on 4x6's - or I should say my MIL is. LOL
I think character shots are hard for others to see since we don't know the subject ourselves, but that's fine - if its shows who he is right now, you've done well!
