Ive never noticed it before, but when pulling back from 70mm, my 24-70 makes a click noise (one click) when zooming back from 70mm downwards.

Would appreciate if someone could confirm this is normal, or is something broken?

Mine doesn't do that. Is it still working well?

Mine doesn't do that either, I would send it in to be cleaned. There might be something in it that is doing it.

Maybe it's a fine movement inthe lens/body conection rings.

Would you care to elaborate on that? I cant see Canon until Tuesday so if there is a way to clean/fix it myself I would prefer that. Its otherwise perfect.
