Noise help???.new 40D owner.

Can some on please explain to me ,when using the noise reducion feature in DPP what is the diffenece between, luminance noise and chrominance noise reduction?

Each one controls reduction for the corresponding component of sensor noise.

I've owned my 40D for 2 days now. Slight hijack, but hey.......Noise? What noise? (ISO 3200) Awesome.

hehe yeah cant complain about that for noise... - well not sized for the web anyways - and yeah hijacker alert especially seeing as the the 40D noise query was about asking for help on clarifying a definition hehe all good

Thanks for the link....seems this noise issue can be a liitle complicated.
No,I' not complaining about the 40D..I just wanted to get some understanding about the subject,,Your link has given me a good insight .....
I took the 40D out last night ,set the asa to 1600,processed a few images and was amazed at the clarity,and sharpness. after I processed them in DPP.
This is an upgrade from my XT,and I'm extremely happy with the overall quality ,the IQ,and most of all the viewfinder.
