Oct 03, 2007 14:22 | #47 Just a follow on comment. After a lot more reflection I have decided that the ability to get double duty from my lenses is worth more than I previously gave credence to. That plus the ability to have a backup nearby other than my point and shoot G7, and the ability to NOT change lenses allowing two different shooting styles at the same time because of the two bodies, all that leads me to choose the 40D over the MkIII. I think the 40D will take a little more shaking out as the best way to deal with those extra MPs, sometimes soft images, and noise are better understood. So it may still be awhile (and Canon would help if it's on the rebate list for fall/winter). The MkIII AF issues are still a part of my thinking, but I doubt I would go there now anyway until the MkIIIn version is announced. Again good exercise. My Stuff
