Some recent shots. Think the harlequin ladybird larva was starting to pupate- it had been in the same postion for at leat 24 hrs.

Another gorgeous set of pics Brian. As Toby pointed out, can see the little 'thing' bottom left of #1, either a grub of the hover dropped 'something' lol

Thanks for the kind comments everyone - very much appreciated. :)

Toby and Linda - definitely a pollen loaded poo in #1 The hover came down on to the grass to drink some dew and then flew to a leaf and did that. It's an egg laden female that apparently eat a lot of pollen for the protein needed for the eggs.
