40D - User Setting for mirror lockup

How do you set Mirror lockup in one of the User Settings i.e. C1?

Set C.Fn III-7 to 1 to enable mirror lockup (manual page 160).

To register a custom setting to one of the mode dials (C1, C2, C3), go to Menu, navigate to the Set-up 3 tab (7th tab from the left), and pick Camera user setting, Register, and the mode dial to which you want to assign your custom settings (page 165).
