That's really effective and very nice. Striking actually.

Now, you've got to let me in on your secrets and methodology.

Where do you position the flower? What make the background colour and where is it located? Is flash used?

Then there are the standard questions - EXIF data.

When did voluptuous become voluminous?

Hey Glenn thanks for the Comments..much appreciated.

The flower was positioned approximatley 3-4cm behind the drops at the same height so the flower that is being refracted provides the background colour. For the Drops i used Glycerine, which is used in baking apparently. I find they hold much better than water.

The image is focus stacked from 4 shots and combined in a program called combinezm. I used my 430EX speedlite as the main light source, this was diffused using kitchen towel.

Exif

f5.6, 1/200, ISO160.

Hope that helps.

Alistair.

Thanks for the information - I would never have guessed it right.

Very interesting about the glycerine; and the focus stack; and the towel diffuser.

Whew - that's takes some dedication, but results are worth it.

Very nice Alistair.

Think I might have to try that flower trick. I'm sure the missus wouldn't suspect an ulterior motive... ;)

Thanks for the glycerine tip.
