Awkward shoot but rewarding

I took some shots (some lol) of a friends children today. Unfortunately the children were tired and not in the mood for me. It was a case of getting what I could at the time. Although I don't like the idea of machine gun photography, I think it paid off this time, although I didn't use motor drive. Unfortunately focus is a little off.

looks nice, with a good setup, but i would have liked to see a smile. I spose as you said they weren't really up for it, and i don't know much about this type of photography, but maybe some toys or something that makes funny noises could have prompted a smile from her?
