Just a minute later I got the email to send Western Union to someone in Canada, before I even got the notification from Ebay that I won. A couple hours later the auction was cancelled (after it was over, yeah) and Ebay reported the sellers account was hijacked by a ripoff. Fortunately I didnt send payment. Hopefully you got an honest deal.

Prices are indeed very tempting. Compared to prices in the past, things are much more affordable now. LightWorks Portfolio

Now who wants a used 350D???? heh you carry on using your 30D, I rather pay the difference as the difference between in my eyes 30D and 40D is well worth it, and now the 40D, is like £679-00 with cash back Photographic Images on Brett Butler

Oct 01, 2007 14:16 | #11 I'm not looking at the difference between 30D and 40D. I'm looking at the difference between 350D and 30D. A new 40D is unaffordable at the moment however flogging off a used 350 and adding £100 to get a used 30D doesn't seem that bad a deal! Oct 01, 2007 15:07 | #13 I'll make my standard suggestion to those looking to buy: Watch the forums here before going to ebay. You have a much better mechanism for validating a seller here than on ebay. You also know you're buying from a user who knows what condition it's really in. I've found prices to be as good or better, too, because you weed out the yahoos who would otherwise bid too much (a common ebay phenomenon). ~ Clint :: Galleries

Oct 01, 2007 15:29 | #14 Since my purchasing a 40D has saved you so much on your purchase of a 30D I think it is only fitting that you should show your grattitude by sending me a small donation. I will accept checks, money orders, or cash (preferably cash) but no credit cards. PM me for an address to send to. To save you more money please send folding money only as coins will only drive up the cost of your postage. Joe
