"The Pickup"
These images were a ton of fun to shoot and i've processed them in a different style to my norm.. wanted a hollywood -movie -old -style look to them. These really are my faves from the wedding i think as they were just a blast to shoot and are something different to the normal wedding images.
Comments most welcome.
Nic:)

Wow.... have some patience!

You posted your images less than 24 hours ago and now you have deleted them... WHY?

Give it some time... sometimes it can take a day or two.

As for WHY no one is replying.. perhaps your images are not really grabbing the viewers attention. Post them back up and I am sure you will receive some C&C.

I will also add that about 95% of viewers are NOT wedding photographers so they most likely won't critique an image they have no idea about. There are a lot of people that just view the images and move on!

Fell in love with photos.. made lots of money.. fell out of love with photos.. took a long break.. trying to find my love again.

[QUOTE=ErikM;4044236]Wow.... have some patience!

I removed them because they had suffered bad compression.. thought maybe that was why they werent commented on. Reduced size and resaved.. hopefully they look better now.

I just like picture # 4, the groom and all the bridesmaids.

I like to see her face, too and not just the groom's.
From your posted set, I can't see the bride's face and expression.

I like # 4 because you can see everyone expression.

I think you achieved the look you were looking for. The old rat-pack style bar scene. Deep shadows and subtle mood light set off the scenes for you.

This is a nice set of shots, but the PP is quite inconsistent on them. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not.

#1. the dress has some highlight issues

#2. do you have one where the B&G are giving a toast? This is what this picture reminds me, except that I keep on looking for a second glass in their hands.

#4. the groom as dark eye sockets because of the lighting. This isn't the case in any other picture, so it may be something to watch for. I'm also not fond of the bottle being in front of the girl's face.

All in all, a very nice set. I like the mood you achieved, but consistency isn't quite there.

My only really niggle is that in shot 2, the guy on the right is looking at the camera where as most of the rest are looking at her.

Just kinda breaks up the scene a little.

I love the look of these. I think you did an awesome job creating that mood. Couple little nit-picks as others mentioned, but overall I think they're very very cool!

I actually really liked that about #3, if you look at all the men they are all looking at the camera, except the groom who is looking at his bride. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but you gave the feel that it was not, and that he just can't take his eyes off her. I liked it.

I am in no way a pro though, so take my thoughts as what they are...my thoughts. It might just be in the fantasy mind of a girl though.

First of all, it looks like they are having a blast, and that's the most important. Great work on that!

But some of the processing isn't flattering to some skin tones. They look ok on screen but the faces may come out way too washed out in print, and the shadow areas under chins and on necks will come out quite dark. Just one thing to be mindful of.
