Not sure if this is the right place to post this so if not please blast me :D

Well i recently bought a 40D and have kept my 400D w/ Grip so i can shoot with 2 bodies (Which i use equally) I was simply wondering if anyone can suggest an easy/comfortable way to carry two bodies (Using only neck straps)?? I just cant seem to find one.

Thanks.

I don't use 2 bodies, but when I'm hiking I carry my camera diagonally across my chest on one shoulder, and my tripod diagonally across my chest on the opposite shoulder.

That should work with 2 cameras too. Of course, someone who has been there, done that probably has a better suggestion!

Usually we see the PJ guys carrying a camera and standard lens in their hands, strap wrapped around their wrist and the other camera with a telephoto slung over the shoulder with a camera strap. I suppose it's possible for us to do the same.

But to sling both camera bodies at the same time sounds like a precarious proposition to me.

I dont like hanging them just over a sholder... Feels way too risky. And yes some of the tim i will be using it while doing PJ style work.

Main camera strapped around front as normal. 2nd strapped on one shoulder. Comfortable (POTN or non-POTN Op/Tech or similar) straps help. It's not easy but when you're paid you deal. It's not risky if you pay attention.

Hmm...what I meant was, slinging the camera diagonally across your body rather than just over one shoulder. In the former method, your neck should be able to prevent the camera body from slipping off and falling to the ground. ;)

I'd rather sling the 2nd over one shoulder. Makes it easier to grab and use as well as to set down altogether if going unused for awhile.

I have those air padded straps (Well one on my 40D will get one for 400D soon) so cdifoto are you saying one tourist style around neck and the other over sholder?

I have seen one PJ using both cameras in tourist around the neck style with diferent length straps... Looked un comfotable as all hell which i tried and it is but works very well for a short (VERY SHORT) amount of time.

Yeah I do the main one (bracket and all that jazz) tourist style. The other just hangs on my right shoulder. The 2nd won't fall down because I'm holding the primary when I'm not holding the 2nd. Therefore if it does slip off my shoulder, it stops at my elbow.

If I do both in tourist or on opposite shoulders, I get choked, not to mention they bang into each other.

My Newton flash bracket, cords, and CP-E3 battery pack. I have one on my main camera, but not on my 2nd.

For PJ type work? That looks rather delicate for media scrums lol Do you have a link to the bracket itself its rather hard to see exactly how it can work when its cluttered up. I tend to just havy my 580EX II sitting on the hotshoe of my main camera body (Normaly 40D) but am looking at getting an off shoe cord to allow for some movement and i can stick the flash in my pocket when not in use (I know a few people who have had their flash units knoked off by cops or stupid pedestrians)

For wedding work. Not much different from PJ really. Always on the move. It tumbled out of my van onto concrete once and nothing broke. It's no more delicate than having the flash directly on the shoe, since it's not huge and cumbersome.
