do crickets malt..why is this cricket white when the rest are black?

i buy a tub of crickets for my prey mantis..yesterday i find a white one and every time i get them there all black..i was wondering why this one is white..and when i went down there this morning the white one is no longer there..not sure what happened to it there's loads of cricket there but i know i cant se a white one any more..any info to why its white? albino cricket :lol:

i got this from guy at flick 10 mins ago..

its white because its newly moulting (got off its old skin or its a recent hatched from egg) after awhile it will turn dark as its buddies.
great shot shows minute details. congrats

Good shots- most bugs are vastly lighter in colour after moulting (some are amazing jade shades of green) - takes a few hours for them to darken and harden up.

hey dreamline.i have a rug in the hall way by the back door..its grubby rug so i have made it my shooting place..i get leafs from outside with aphids on and lay them on ground to get some good close ups..im not at the level lordv is at where hes getting super clear shots using bean pole..for me its impossible but i guess with practice.
