That's the problem I had last week Dennis. The field I shot is the darkest I shoot all season, so I had no choice but to use a flash. I was happy with the results but I did get a lot of red eye. I was using a 300 2.8 and a 580 mounted on a Custom Bracket (external link). The CB also rotates to keep the flash above the lens and I had it raised all the way up but I still got some red eye, but like you said it's easy to fix.

Chris,

What is NOT easy to fix is demon eye. About 50% of the time when I get demon eye, it only affects one eye, and the other usually shows red eye. When this happens, I'll fix the red eye, lasso the "fixed eye", copy it and paste it over the demon eye.

There are also other ways to deal with demon eye (AKA Pet Eye) like this: http://graphicssoft.about.com …deyeremoval/ss/peteye.htm (external link)

Normally, the shot really has to rock in order for me to spend this kind of time fixing demon eye, though.

Dennis,

When using a flash, do you take your photos standing or kneeling?

Thanks

Thanks, Mark.

Matt, It depends. I try to shoot from the kneeling position as much as possible, but this is harder on the sidelines than from behind the end zones (too many people on the sidelines - my legs are constantly "in harm's way").

When shooting from the end zone, though, I'm almost always kneeling or sitting, and sometimes even lying down.
