heres another few from yesterday
This hover looks like a honeybee, but the eyes make me sure its a hover. I can't find him in my book though, does anyone know what he is :D

Good shots- definitely a drone fly :) - all visiting a gaillardia flower unless I'm mistaken.

Thanks Brian, the gaillardia were at Chester zoo they have very nice gardens am going there again today

Yup, #1 and #2 are a drone fly of some sort, #2 made me laugh, how *does* it fly like that? One messy eater. Perhaps #3 would be better rotated 90ยบ clockwise? Good shots Pete.

I thought it was dead funny when I saw him through the veiwfinder.
I will try rotating the image , always seem to have no time to do any editing at the mo, I keep going out to find more bugs before winter starts.
