I bought my 10d from Express just before the 20d came out. My original order was something like 1900 for a great package. Being a naive newbie, I allowed them to "upsell" me when they made the order confirmation call. I ended up paying $3000 fro the camera, a speedlight 430, and two junk Sigma lenses. I learned an expensive lesson. By the time I knew enough to figure out that I had been royally ripped off, it was too late to do anything about it. I can't believe they are still in business. I just checked them and they are offering a 40D body for $649. I should try and buy two from them and resell them myself to recoup some of my losses.

I got my 20D kit from butterfly with no problems but maybe it is hit and miss. That was awhile ago too.

I purchased a video camera from them before and they do up-sell accessories to you but you can kindly decline. They didn't push me at all. All together a pain-free transaction.

Sorry I forgot to mention that it's a 50% good or bad experience. but for my friends and I we all had great transactions. But they are not as bad as express cameras or bestpricedcameras that upsell like there's no tomorrow.

I bought my 20D and wife's SD550 from Butterfly. They do try and put the upsell on you, but honestly, if you just tell them no, then they just process your order. They don't pull any of that crap where they try and sell you items in the box at additional prices. At the time I purchased the 20D and SD550, they had the best price on both items.
