quick answer: NO
Long answer; yes, but you will need to buy some votage/amp convertors, these are expensive.

NOT TRUE

Chargers take voltages from 100-220v @ 50-60Hz.

You DO NOT need converters. All you need are adapters to allow your plug to fit in their socket.

So, Short answer is yes it will work just fine so long as you can plug it in. Ive use my US charger everyone from Italy, France, UK, Croatia, Mexico, and Japan. If you read the back of them, it says the acceptable voltage/AC that it will be able to handle and AFAIK, its pretty much every country in the world. You just might need plug adapters.

My mobile phone (bought O/S) charger works just fine with a $10 power point converter.

I would imagine dedicated battery chargers would be the same.

Or, since they just use a standard cord, all you need is one with an Ausie plug on the end.

I can use the same cord that my kettle, stereo, DVD player and play station use in BP511 battery charger.

Its just a two pin cord.

So long and thanks for all the flash

YES, check the bottom it should say 100-240v 50/60Hz

If it does then just get a travel plug to change the pins and your away, or if the charger has a pull out cord, then you still see it has a standard "figure-8" connection, get one locally and your all set.

The cord is readily available in Australia. High street price under 10 dollars Australian.

Either buy a convertor, or do a home made job of switching the plug itself on the cord to the Aussie plug. Not hard, just have to do the right wiring and you're done.
