Hi there,
I've seen photographers have their camera connected to the laptop and the picture shows up on the laptop screen immediately after they take the shot....

what do i need to get in order to achive that? is it possible to do it wireless (via bluetooth or some other device)

any suggestion would help.... thank you so much in advance...

IIs software that comes on the Canon utilities disk. Remote shooting I believe. Take a look at the software package. You’ll see it there.

I believe "Camera Window" is either the name for some older software for Windows and/or the current software for the Mac platform. The current software for Windows users is called "EOS Utility". That allows remote capture and will open each photo as it is taken in either Zoombrowser or DPP, set in the EOS Utility preferences. Alternatively, you can have some other software, such as Lightroom, monitor your download folder and import each photo as it is captured and display it.

DSLR Remore Pro at http://www.breezesys.com/ (external link) . This is an excellent and bullet proof program.

I don't have a 30D, but the application you're looking for should be on the software CD that came with your camera. It should be called "Remote Capture".

The 'software manual' that came with your camera will have the instructions of how to use remote capture and all the other software on the disk.

It is on the EOS utility disc ( it is on my 400d).Plug in the camera, switch in on and EOS will open.Select the folder where you want the shots( Monitor Folder) and then select camera settings/remote shooting,. Take the picture using the camera icon( Blue in my case), Zoom Brower will open and display the picture

EOS Utility is what you need. it comes packaged with any camera made after 2006, and if you don't have it, you can download it for free from the canon website.

I've recentley purchased DSRL REMOTE PRO and have been very satisfied. As an amature, its very easy to work with and it'll give you the results your looking for.
