an hour ago, still quite a few bees about and I saw plenty more in the park this morning but only had a wide angle lens.

You did very well for using the 100mm + 1.4 TC Toby with those bees. They're hard enough to get at 1:1! Like the Hoverfly shot, excellent detail. Wasp is pretty good as well, but the lighting seems a bit harsher than what it usually is for you.
