OK, we've already had endless threads with endless debates on this topic, but at least the linked reference makes for funny reading. At least I had a few chuckles from it.

Hopefully it won't start another round of discussion on "photographer's rights".

i'm sure he embellished a bit to make it more comical, but i'm sure that's pretty much how the interaction happened. makes me wanna grab my camera and mess with security.

oh and the sidewalks on the strip are typically privated owned but they are public forums so typically public photography laws and rights apply, however the security for that property can ask you to move along.

That was hysterical :) Security and other law enforcers tend to focus so much on these little things rather than the big picture. It's just like the officer who spent his time writing me tickets every week because my parking pass was attached with a double-sided sticker (I spent 5 hours getting last year's pass off) rather than keeping the campus safe. Go figure.
