Hello all, been ages since I last posted. I have to update my signature, I sold my 70-200 L to buy golf clubs, now I am regretting it, although I sold it for a great price. In any event, I am looking for lense that I can go 30-125 or somewhere in between. I would love a L lense since I was extremely happy with my 70-200 L. I also need like 1.8 or something close to that. I have been using my nifty fifty which is great, but limits me when my kids are farther away.

So, any recommendations on a Canon lense? I know there was a Tameron that was supposed to really good, still not sure if that is available. Thank you for any assistance.

Hank

Hey

I can recommend to you first is the :

1.) 24-70 f/2.8L this lens is really superb.

2.) 85 f/1.8 cheap but IQ is very nice.

Cheers

you're going to have to choose between getting a fast lens (1.8 or faster will necessitate getting a prime/non-zoom) and a zoom (2.8 is the fastest you'll find on a zoom)

Thank you for the feedback, I will look into the first option.

I agree the 24-70 f/2.8 L is a great option, but might be a bit short. There is also the 28-105 f/4 L. Bit slower though.

You won't get anything faster than 2.8 in a zoom. Just have to accept that.
