whew! these are hot!
1. she is placed in an odd position in the frame. Yes there is a cool graffiti wall behind her, but you are not showing enough of the wall to make it a complementing feature of the pic, nor is the image tight enough to make the bride the obvious standout of the pic either. Either more wall or more bride would do it.
2. is cool.
3. is quite central, and the dumpster is just peeking into the frame and is really doing nothing for the composition. Maybe move her more to the right of the frame taking the dumpster out, and getting both that cool door and that cool window that is cut off in the left side of the frame.
4. I am not so sure of the pose. It also bulges under her arm. and again, her face is almost right in the centre, so it's neither an environmental shot, nor a portrait.
5. now this is what I was talking about in 1 and 4. See in this shot, she is lower in the frame so you are showing off the worn out buildings as a feature of the shot. Excellent. But she is too central and the wall edge grows out of her head. If she was put infront of the wall more to the left, it would have been excellent, and showed the geometries of the building more.
6. how tall are the pipes? Do they go pretty high? A lower angle makes vertical lines more dramatic.
7. she looks gorgeous in this shot... but again it's too central. Move her more to the left of the frame and put her head higher into the frame, and it would be most excellent!
8. whew... that's hot. certain that guys would love this view. If she's cool with it too then props to you... but move her head higher up in the frame, put her eyes on a line of thirds.
These are great photos but slight modifications to the compositions would have made them just amazing. Are you using your centre focus point most of the time? If you are, on your next shoot like this, do NOT allow yourself to use the centre point. Not even once. Use the outer points and see how you like the shots.
thanks for sharing! I love looking at your image posts. You certainly have a style that really comes out and is identifiable.
