M24, did you go to Canon to get your sensor cleaned? How did it turn out? "There are some things that money can't buy, but they aren't Ls and aren't worth having" -- Shooter-boy

And not just stuff that wouldn't come off after blowing, but stuff that wouldn't come off after several wet cleanings with E2. Mind you, I'm using the same technique that I've used successfully to remove all the dirt from the sensor of my 30D, so I doubt it's my technique that's at fault. I used varying amounts of E2 on each pass. "There are some things that money can't buy, but they aren't Ls and aren't worth having" -- Shooter-boy

Yes, I did go to Canon in Irvine and got all my concerns addressed. The sensor on my 40D was cleaned perfectly by Canon, but there is more to the story. 40D kit is sold | G10 Love it!!! | 350D w/BG-E3 | EF-S 10-22 | 70-200 2.8L | Canon 1.4x II | Tammy 28-300 VC | B+W filters | Novoflex Magicball | 50D and 5D MKII on the way...

My XT was much like yours, however, my 40Ds have not been, in spite of that, I think the 30Ds and 40Ds are incredible cameras. Best regards, Michael Guy's.... Is it me...
