arghh, I posted this in the lenses section and maybe should have posted it here :o

Would Kenko tubes and the Canon EF 100mm f2.8 USM Macro work together? A site I was looking at mentioned that the tubes don't work with EF-S lenses, but I just wanted to make sure they will work with EF before I purchase them online.

Any help would be great,

Thanks

I have the Kenko tubes and they work perfect on the 100mm lens.

I also have just purchased the Kenko tube set for my 100mm macro lens, and they work great.

takes you closer to the subject and should give you about 1.7:1 magnification. You could get this mag without loss of working distance by using a x2 teleconverter (plus a tube to allow fit) but there would be a slight loss of resolution even with a Canon tc.

Racketman, so will I need the x2 also? Is this essential for the tubes to work?

no thats just an alternative ie x2 tc with a 12mm tube will give similar mag to using 68mm of tubes.
