looks enormous from that angle, first shot is very good.Same settings for #2 but you must have held camera less steady. Amazing DOF for f2.8, you'd need about f16 on a dslr.

Pretty good shots there Joan, especially for f2.8 - #1 for me. Quite a large beetle, I wonder what species it is, suspect it might be a Chafer of some sort.

Thanks for the great comments everyone. It was not me who was moving but him!!! He was determined to get somewhere fast. LOL!! I found him at work and brought him home so once I put him on the lawn, he was getting out of there!!
