Hi, my first post. Question. Can I use an EF2xII extender with a 70-300mm DO IS lens attached to a DREBEL? I'm going to Alaska and I want to get shots of far away subjects.

Since the lens is very new, their literature may not have caught up with the product line. I don't have any particular reason to think either way, but a definate statement from Canon would be a strong indicator. Jon

The TC has a lip that protrudes into the lens its being connected to, and the rear element of the 70-300DO is almost flush with the back of the lens. It's the same with both the 1.4X and 2.0X TC. I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I use it with my 70-200F4L and it works great. Very sharp pics.... The cheap one... Non SP. The reason I bring it up is that it doesnt have the pertruding front peice so it fits more lenses.
