A study at 1.5x

At 1.5x I get just about the best mix of detail, depth of field, and a composition that includes a good part of the wing when shooting these Violet Darters. All images taken with a Canon Xti and an MPE-65mm macro lens.

I go when they are the most active and try to find one that's feeding. More tips here. I had one land on my flash a few days ago

yes u got it sorted man..i read all your blogs and study your work carfully..lordv is setting the bar for the 420 ex and your setting it for the mt-24ex.. oh and your bloody lucky being in a place where theres so many dragon flys..:p
