I love a good shot of a tarantula! I used to own two of them ....shot 3 of the fangs is a good one!

Thanks Mike.... She is living in a planter out on the back porch for now... I found out how well they jump when my face was stuffed up to hers with my macro lens.. Glad they are friendly because the fangs look about the size of a Rattlesnakes :)..

They are actually relatively easy going as long as you aren't hitting their hind parts and bouncing them around. Can't wait to see some more pics !

That is good info Mike... I have certainly seen them handled calmly and I am really not a weenie, however I didn't spend much time getting aquainted ;).. She is still out back so I'll get a chance... Hey I know I'll take a double portrait.... Me with her perched on my nose :D :D... Take care

Hi Toby :) Thanks pal... It is good to hear from you.... I haven't been shooting much macro lately. The shoulder still isn't up to the task... This big beauty almost required a wide angle lens. The guard dog ran when he saw it.
