I made a picture with the purpose of selling it to a customer, he posted a link to all the pictures I took on his corvette forum here. (external link) I was loving the comments on all the pictures, so I posted wallpaper size picture of this picture. Yesterday someone from the site PM'd me about possible copyright infringement of this image, based on the C5 Corvette logo on the wall. He was just trying to tell me that there could possibly be a problem with it, not scolding me or anything like that.

Could you let me know if there is a copyright problem with this picture please?

I am by no means an expert. But with the logo (that you have no rights to) placed on the wall by you with PP there is most likely a problem. It could be argued that your intent is to use the image of the logo and/or corvette for profit without consent.

But you see posters all the time of cars with logos and I doubt many of them are getting consent before they sell the poster at a Walmart.

Now, if you drove your corvette under a chevy billboard and took a picture that could possibly be different.

thanks for letting me know that there is quite possibly a problem with the picture. I am not sure what to do with the picture now.

I didn't get the picture from any GM site, I just googled corvette logo, and that picture came up, then I cut it out, streched, and worked it just about right.

thanks for anymore input.

Since you added the logo, there might be a problem. Had the logo been painted on the wall in the first place, it probably would be a non-issue.
