Nice Tim. I don't think they're your best, but they're still decent. In general I find they're lacking a lot of contrast though. I know you may not be fully done editing them yet, but, just thought I would mention. I'm not sure I like your B&W conversion either. They seem really muddy.

1. Nice. I wonder how it would have looked if you were a little to the left, more in front of them. I find the groom's (almost completely black) tux very distracting taking up that much of the frame.

2. Fun image! You cut off the dress though. Other than that, I'm a big fan of the composition.

3. Not bad, could be better imo. I can't see any of the bride's face. I find it's better to tell them not to kiss sideways like that, as you generally will lose one of their faces.

4. This one is better. My favorite of the bunch! Needs some more pop, like I mentioned though.

5. Very cute. I like the pose very much, and the composition is very pleasing. Again, it's flat though.

Hey Tim!

Nice to be a second shooter huh? I can't wait till my next second shooting assignment!

1. I like hand holding shots, but I find the crop really weird. I know I know, decapitation is quite popular now but cutting off right at the neck has never done it for me. I'd rather put the hands higher in the frame and show more of the legs, because everyone can instantly identify it as a nice pic of hands, where head chopping makes people think first thing, "where's the head?"

2. Just plain fun and happy. Nice. Would like to see more contrast though.

3. is a not an optimal angle, but understandable if you are a second. You can't see either one of their faces at all.

4. I think is beautiful, but her back and arm look kinda funny? I don't know if it's the resizing, compression or what, but it looks like a cross between ripped muscle and flabby, if there is such a thing possible. I dunno, just kinda weird.

5. is fantastic, but I'd raise the curve on the lights/highlight end.

thanks for sharing, Tim!

I'm going to be different and say I don't like #2. It's not flattering to the bride ... it reminds me of when my daughter does her goober smile, but I'm not sure the angle/expression works on anyone beyond toddler age.

I like the others, very nice!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'll resaturate those photos. During the ceremony the main photog had my 70-200 so I was using the 100mm F2.8 macro as my telephoto, hence the cut off heads! Bryan - agree not my best but for shooting as 2nd they're ok.

Lloyd - what angle would you have used? I had the couple for 30 seconds so there's no excuses available here ;)

I suspect #2 was shot from the hip.

30 seconds. haha, wow talk about time constraints! :(

I think your angle on the composition on 3 is great, but the angle you have on the people is not. So keep the lens where it is, but twist the people towards you a bit so you can see their faces more, rather than his back.

I got that shot too, but I like this one better :)

I'm at work at the moment, won't be home until tonight. I'll post it then if I remember. It wasn't posted because it wasn't as good!
