Why is it that sometimes when I shoot and try to view the images on the rear display it very seldom shows a question mark or a very small picture saying it cant view it? Other than that I absolutely love the camera!

Mark_Cohran Cream of the Crop More info | Oct 06, 2007 16:57 | #6 If you are using a freshly formatted card, could be from corrupted image files that result when the camera tries to write to the card. If that's the case, you probably have a bad card, though it doesn't entirely rule out the camera as an issue. I'd try using a different card and see if you continue to have the problem. If you do, I'd send the camrea in for a checkup. Mark

Oct 06, 2007 21:54 | #11 I shoot raw all the time and use sandisk cards exclusively as well. I cant figure this one out. I was shooting some mountain biking today and was shooting some 5-6 shot bursts and was getting 1 in 3 shots in the small frame described above. If so then the question mark would show each time you try to view that particular photo/fileNo, all pictures were taken on the 5D and trying to view within minutes of taking them. I honestly dont remember if I formatted these two cards on the 20D or the 5D. I have another shoot tomorrow so I can check this theory out. Why would some of the pictures show as fine though? Canon 5D, 20D,50mm1.4, Canon 24-70 2.8L, Canon 15mm fisheye, Canon 16-35 2.8L

Ok it is confirmed. I will be sending this camera back! After multiple chances for the camera and different cards with formatting I am still getting the same problem...and one more. The dreaded 1/3 black, 1/3 yellow, 1/3 properly exposed.....dang. Just thought I let anyone who might encounter this in the future know.
