What kind of cycle of maintence do most of you have on your cameras? Do you base it off how many shots or time befor you send it in ? Or dont at all ?

I hesitate to speak for others, but I would surmise most people don't have any sort of rigid maintenance schedule. Most cleaning is on a as need basis with obvious daily use precautions being adhered to.

I clean lenses every so often, and more so in dusty environments. I clean the sensor when I start to notice any dust. Then I send in the camera for a new shutter just shy of its expected life cycle (250K actuations for the 1DsII). Oh, and I wipe it down after shooting with it in the rain. Thats really it. Built like tanks!

No regular maintenance other than blowing the dust off. Send in for repair if needed.

Ditto.

There isn't really much you can do. Clean lenses, bodies and sensors when they seem to need it or perhaps before a holiday or something. Make sure your straps are secure and your batteries charged.

Change the oil every 3000 shots or 30 days whichever comes first. Or if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I'm not aware of anyone doing maintainence other than cleaning.

Agreed. If my 1D gets wet, I wipe it gently down with a cotton piece of linen. I clean the sensor for dust issues as required. If there's only a few, I don't worry about it and just use Photoshop's spot healer brush to fix them.
