I went into Jessops the other day (the wonderful place that it is) to try out some camera bags, and before I left, I couldn't help but ask to hold a 40D. While the salesman was explaining it, he said:

"Combined with the grip, it can do 8fps."

What a load of balls.

(...right?)

40D is 6.5 max, as most of us know. He's just like every other salesman, it seems. At least they all seem similar to me.

I think it might be a Jessops trait. I remember a while ago someone in the same store (in the pro section) was explaining the wonderful 'magnification' factor of the 1D MkIIN. Later on I went into a smaller branch to hold a 30D and try a Sigma 24-70 and the sales assistant brought me a Nikon-mount copy and couldn't understand why it didn't fit.

I miss the 'mom 'n' pop' shops!

That new grip is more than just flimsy weathersealing, I see.

I think that that's the camera that did the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.
